"Who you are isn't cast in iron..." --Eragon

Words of Wisdom:

"And if Galbatorix attacks Du Weldenvarden, I will fly to the moon and raise our child among the spirits who in habit the heavens."- Katrina- "And they will bow down to you and make you their queen, as you deserve"- Roran

"A true warrior does not fight because he wishes to but because he has to. A man who yearns for war, a man who enjoys his killing, he is a brute and a monster. No matter how much glory he wins on the battlefield, that cannot erase the fact that he is no better than a rabid wolf who will turn against his friends and family as soon as his foes." -Katrina

Why I Choose What I Choose: Quote 1: What Eragon said, shows that not only is he wise but he also wants to show people that he can change too. He's trying to save his half brother, the kid that got forced into being something he isn't. He wants to help even though Murtagh has tried to kill or capture Eragon countless times. Although Murtagh knows that Eragon has more experience that him and is much wiser than his older half brother, he still insists on not listening to anything that Eragon has to say even though everything he says is full of logic and complete realism. Quote 2: I choose this conversation between Roran and his wife Katrina because it shows that sometimes, love can help conquer all. That even though Roran may die in battle, and never see his wife and unborn child, Katrina would still follow him anywhere that he may go just because she loves him with all her heart and soul. Roran never gives up fighting for the Varden for his family so that maybe someday they will be safe, not because the other people in the land are in danger. I think that that is so romantic and heroic all in one.Quote 3: Katrina shows that even though she has not been through battle herself or killed a man with her own bare hands, she still understands what makes a true warrior. She can look at someone by the way the bring about themselves to other people and understand the make up of their life just by the smallest of their actions. Personally, I agree with her. A true warrior doesn't enjoy killing, but tolerates it and understands that he has to kill and make sacrifices for the people and things he loves in his life. She totally gets that even though no blood has been shed upon her hands.Video 1: I choose this video because it shows the main ideas of the book. Things like: the sword, Graedr, Graedr's heart of hearts, ect. It isn't full of nonsense that doesn't mean anything to anyone. The video has things in there that are in the book. Random things aren't in there for no reason, but to look good and be cool. That's why I like this video.Video 2: I like this video because its fun, but still has things from the book in it. It makes you laugh and roll your eyes at its cornie-ness, but you still get it. The video has a point while many don't. It also hold your attention. All the bright colors make it so its hard to look away. So i like the video also for all of its colors.
